ONCA can comply with all the environmental certifications’ processes, but specializes on the LEED and Green Globe certifications since these are the certifications with the greatest demand in the global market. ONCA has incorporated several of these certifications to create a new environmental certification for golf courses.

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) developed this certification with the intention of designing, constructing, and operating sustainable constructions that reduce their environmental footprints, the use of natural resources and increases occupant comfort. ONCA has professionals accredited by the USGBC  that have the capacity necessary to propose solutions, generate results and carry out the certification process.  The LEED certification has been used in more than 30 countries and at the moment 1,283 projects have been certified and 9.867 are registered to begin the certification process.

This certification was developed based on the Agenda 21 requirements-a resolution coined in the Earth Summit (Rio De Janeiro, 1992) that discusses the Plan of Action that would have to be carried out to create developments that can satisfy current necessities without jeopardizing the well-being and the quality of life for future generations- and this can be implemented in different projects including: hotels, resorts, tourist parks echo, golf courses, companies and communities, among others. ONCA specializes in defining the points that each project can obtain within the Green Globe guidelines, to generate technologies and solutions to improve the project in the required areas, and to carry out the process to obtain certification.

ONCA is currently managing the project of "Best Environmental Practices for Golf Courses" in the Cancún/Riviera Mayan zone to improve the environmental quality of the courses. This project has the objective of establishing this zone as a "Ecological Golf Destination" of the highest international quality and become the first golf region identified by its environmental quality. The project incorporates guidelines from Green Globe, Audubon, LEED, Environmental Institute for Golf, and Pinellas County Environmental Management with a specific approach to the region of the Mexican Caribbean. This is a project of international collaboration headed by the Eco Red Foundation for the Sustainable Development (Mexico), The Travel Foundation (the United Kingdom), and Mexican Caribbean Golf Courses Association (Mexico).
